Divine Mercy Shrine (Dievo Gailestingumo šventovė)

The Shrine of Divine Mercy stands in the Old Town of Vilnius and holds the original image of the Divine Mercy, painted in 1934 by Eugeniusz Kazimirowski under the guidance of Saint Faustina Kowalska and her confessor. It was in Vilnius that the Divine Mercy devotion first took shape, making the shrine a major destination for pilgrims from Poland, Lithuania and around the world. The church broadcasts its daily Mass and near-perpetual Eucharistic adoration live on YouTube, so the faithful everywhere can pray with the sanctuary. It remains a living centre of the Divine Mercy message in the Lithuanian capital.
