Lubaga Cathedral, formally the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, crowns Lubaga Hill in Kampala and serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kampala, the oldest Catholic jurisdiction in Uganda. Completed in 1925 by the Missionaries of Africa, the twin-towered church is one of the country's most recognisable landmarks and an enduring centre of national pilgrimage. Its daily and Sunday Masses are live-streamed on YouTube, letting Ugandans abroad and homebound worshippers join the liturgy from anywhere. The cathedral remains an active parish and the mother church for Catholics across the wider Kampala region.
